The Birney Family era 1954 -1994
Restoration: Phyllis Birney gave the barn and one acre of land to the Kiowa County Historical society in 1993 A Heritage Trust Fund Grant from the Kansas State Historical Society along with a local match allowed for the restoration of this barn to its original condition. Restoration occurred in 1995.
